Working Together is the Only Way
Working Together is the Only Way
Given the high stakes challenges we face today – whether social or environmental – it is clear that now is the time for us to join together and find new ways to bring about change. Although that may have a familiar ring, it is still true. The call to action could not be any louder.
The good news is people are coming together to make some of the decisions we need to make and take some of the actions we need to take to help heal and tend to the needs of our people, our ocean, our planet. This website is one way for me to join in and reach out. I feel very fortunate to have been able to share some of what I see in our world, through writings, photos, and talks over the last couple of years, and to have met some very concerned and committed people along the way. The community is growing.
Poking around this website, you’ll find some photos , mostly of west coast marine wildlife (especially sea otters . . .), but also some beautiful creatures from the opposite side of the world in the Serengeti. There is also information about two books I'm excited about, and I will be adding information on several other books soon. I’m posting some columns I’ve written about sea otters and ocean stewardship over the last few years, with a more complete archive to be added in the near future. Because of my background in law, I can’t resist also posting a few recent legal decisions that fill in some of the story of how sea otters have been “managed” in that always-tricky relationship between humans and nature.
I’ll be adding more information, resources, and links soon, so come back as often as you’d like. And please feel free to email to strike up – or continue – the discussion!
Thanks.
